THE SIMPLE WOMAN'S DAYBOOK

FOR TODAY...JANUARY 26, 2009

Outside my window...It is overcast with a bit of snow on the ground.

I am thinking...That my paycheck NEEDS to come soon! ;)

I am thankful for...Freedom.

From the learning rooms...Forever trying to learn to fix my shortcomings!

I am wearing...A knit t-shirt with a long-sleeved flannel-type over shirt, comfy bottoms, and long cozy socks.

I am creating...A Valentine's Day garland with pretty crystal hearts.

I am going...To try harder to better myself. :)

I am reading...Country Woman.

I am hoping...To pay off one debt in 2009.

I am hearing...The same thoughts repeating over and over in my head. I wrote them down, so now I won't worry about them. (This is a neat trick that usually works pretty well, as long as you keep reminding yourself that they are written down and are being taken care of. Your mind is then freed up for other things.)

Around the house...Not much today. I am home from work and planning on taking it easy for a day.

One of my favorite things...Barbie Dolls. :)

A few plans for the rest of the week:Not much different than the usual! Going to work, working on class computer issues, looking forward to Friday afternoon!

Here is picture thought I am sharing...A Valentine garland.

Thank you so much for your concern. I can tell we are a lot alike. Constantly striving each day to be a better person and a better Christian. My husband is a great person he's just not a fun person. He's dedicated to me and the family. I have several chronic illnesses and he has always been honest about having a problem with sick people. I have systemic lupus and a lot of things that go with it. I am like a bouquet of balloons and he is like the anchor. We have been married 44 years and are dedicated to God, marriage and family. Our marriage is precious to both of us. I have been given a gift from God to speak with authority when it comes to His word and my husband doesn't like that. I think a lot of marriages are like ours. I hope you are ok now. God bless you, Doylene

Kimberly, thank you for the compliment on the garland, and I appreciate you stopping by. :)

Doylene,

Bless you for being married for so many years. It makes me admire you and be sad for you at the same time. Your analogy about the bouquet of balloons and the anchor paint a perfect picture. What a wonderful woman your husband has.

I'm sorry for your illness, as I know that lupus comes with many problems. My husband, too, had a problem with a sickness condition in me. He is so much better now.

How wonderful that you are dedicated to your Heavenly Father. I know He loves you so much, and I'll just bet that you are such an example to those around you of what a Christ-like person should be.

My husband, too, is a great person. He also is the anchor. It took me years to figure out that the world needs both balloons and anchors. We have learned much from each other over our marriage and compliment each other well, we think. I don't feel that it was always this way and am thankful that it is now.

It’s so nice to meet both of you ladies. Thank you for writing. :)
